- Patient Encounters Per Shift: 25–30 (high-risk obstetric consults and inpatient care)

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Board Certified Physician (MD) required — OB/GYN with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, high-risk obstetrics, or related specialty
- Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine preferred (MFM fellowship)
- Valid ACLS and BLS certifications
- Proven ability to manage complex maternal and fetal conditions and provide hospital call coverage
- Credentialing timeframe: up to 90 days (must be able to complete facility credentialing)
- Experience with Level II/Targeted ultrasound and fetal echocardiography preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hospital call coverage for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine unit, including emergent and routine inpatient consults
- Manage 25–30 patient encounters per shift, including high-risk pregnancies and obstetric complications
- Diagnose and treat pregnancy-induced hypertension, HELLP syndrome, preeclampsia, diabetes (Type I, II, gestational), and complex multisystem conditions (cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurological, autoimmune, hematologic/oncologic)
- Perform and interpret obstetric ultrasounds (Level II/Targeted) and fetal echocardiography
- Perform procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), fetal blood sampling, intrauterine transfusion, cervical cerclage, and multifetal pregnancy reduction as indicated
- Manage labor and delivery scenarios including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, instrument-assisted deliveries, VBACs, and vaginal breech deliveries
- Collaborate closely with hospitalists, neonatology, anesthesiology, nursing, and ancillary hospital staff to ensure high-quality patient care
