Locum Tenens Primary Care Physician – Outpatient May 26 – June 6

We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a short-term locum tenens assignment in a well-established outpatient practice. This is a turnkey opportunity with strong clinical support and no after-hours responsibilities.

Coverage Dates

May 26 – June 6

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 30-minute lunch break (office remains open; staff lunches staggered)
• No after-hours call expected

Practice Setting

• Outpatient Primary Care
• Established patient panel
• Supportive and experienced clinical team

Patient Population

• All ages
• Average 25 patients per day
• Primarily chronic care follow-ups (hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia)
• Annual wellness exams/physicals
• Limited walk-ins (most seen by on-site PA)

EMR System

• Athena (Athenahealth)

Clinical Support

• 1 Physician Assistant (PA)
• Medical Assistants
• PA manages most walk-ins
• PA on call for the practice
• Physician owner available for consult when needed
• No routine after-hours calls anticipated

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred
• Active state medical license
• DEA
• BLS
• Comfortable managing chronic conditions across all age groups
• Experience with Athena EMR preferred but not required
