Job description Family Medicine with OB opportunity in Utah Location: Delta, UT - Provo 90m Employment Type: Full-Time, permanent position --- Position Summary A Family Medicine Physician with Obstetrics is sought to join a rural, community-based practice in Delta, Utah. This role offers the opportunity to provide full-spectrum care, including primary care, obstetrics (optional based on training), and emergency medicine support in an underserved area. The physician will play a key role in improving access to care while working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on patient-centered, high-quality outcomes. --- Position Highlights * Practice in a rural community setting with strong patient relationships * Opportunity to provide full-spectrum Family Medicine with OB * Make a meaningful impact in an underserved population * Collaborative, team-based care model * Strong emphasis on continuity of care and community engagement --- Key Responsibilities Primary Care * Provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages * Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions * Perform preventive care, wellness exams, and health screenings * Manage chronic diseases with ongoing monitoring and counseling Obstetric Care (Optional Based on Training) * Provide prenatal care, routine check-ups, and screenings * Perform low-risk deliveries and manage uncomplicated labor * Identify and manage obstetric complications and coordinate transfers when needed Gynecologic Care * Perform well-woman exams, Pap smears, and contraception counseling * Manage gynecologic conditions including menstrual disorders and menopause * Perform minor procedures such as IUD placement and biopsies Newborn & Pediatric Care * Conduct newborn assessments and monitor development * Provide well-child exams, immunizations, and pediatric care Emergency & Rural Medicine * Provide initial stabilization and management of emergency conditions * Collaborate with EMS and coordinate higher-level care when needed Collaboration & Community Engagement * Work closely with physicians, nurses, midwives, and specialists * Participate in community outreach, education, and wellness initiatives * Support teaching opportunities for students and trainees Documentation & Compliance * Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation * Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices --- Schedule * Monday – Friday * 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM --- Qualifications * MD or DO from an accredited medical school * Residency training in Family Medicine (with OB experience preferred) * Active Utah medical license (or eligibility) * Board Certified or Board Eligible * Experience or strong interest in rural medicine * Additional training or certification in obstetrics preferred * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Commitment to continuous learning and high-quality patient care --- Community Highlights * Located in Delta, Utah, a rural and close-knit community * Opportunity to make a direct impact on community health * Access to outdoor recreation and a quieter lifestyle * Ideal for physicians seeking meaningful practice with work-life balance
