Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with current licensure in Texas
- Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions
- Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory, neurological, and cardiovascular health
- Ability to perform interview-based exams with limited physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Familiarity with Goniometers and experience with DISM or similar certifications
- Excellent organizational skills to meet reporting deadlines within 48 hours
- Competent in documenting evaluations using standardized forms and VES provider portal
- Own personal laptop (Windows-based; no Mac) with reliable internet access
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience with Compensation & Pension exams or veteran health assessments
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and reporting systems
- Experience in musculoskeletal, diabetes, or cardiovascular specialties
- Certification in DMA or willingness to obtain certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from accredited medical school
- Minimum of 2 years clinical practice in general or internal medicine
- Prior experience with veteran health services is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work two days per week within a 10-mile radius of Lake City, FL or as scheduled in Houston, TX
- Ability to perform exams at leased facilities or within own practice locations
- Willingness to complete required VA DMA certifications and VES orientation materials via Reach360 system
- Capability to perform both half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts
- Must be U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Provide necessary credentials and certifications upon onboarding
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $624.00
- Flat Rate for Half-Day (4 hours or less): $600
- Flat Rate for Full-Day (5 hours or more): $1,200
- One-Time Bonus: $650 upon successful completion of initial training and first exams
