🌙 Nocturnist Hospitalist – Syracuse, New York

A well-established healthcare system is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join its Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist in Syracuse, New York. This is a full-time opportunity to provide high-quality overnight inpatient care within a collaborative, physician-led environment.

🏥 Position Overview

• Role: Nocturnist Hospitalist

• Schedule: 7 PM – 7 AM

• Rotation: 7 on / 7 off

• Shift Length: 12 hours

• Practice Setting: Inpatient Hospital Medicine

• EMR: Epic

• Team Environment: Physician-led program with strong specialty support

👩‍⚕️ Key Responsibilities

• Provide overnight inpatient care and admissions

• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations

• Manage hospitalized patients throughout the night

• Monitor patient conditions and respond to clinical changes

• Conduct overnight rounding for Hospitalist patients in a closed ICU setting

• Collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary teams

• Document all encounters in Epic

• Coordinate follow-up care and discharge planning

• Deliver patient-centered, high-quality care

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

• New York medical license or willingness to obtain

• Clean malpractice and license history

• Recent NPDB Self-Query report required

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Prior hospitalist experience required

• Not open to locums or visa candidates
