Location: El Paso, TX

Contract Type: Long-Term Government Locums

Setting: Primary Care – Adult Population

POSITION 1: Full-Time Primary Care Physician (40 hrs/week – Patient Care Only)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week

Patient Volume: 5–8 patients per day

Start: As soon as credentialed

Job Description:

Amergis is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide full-time, patient-facing care at a federal government facility. This role involves no collaborative duties and focuses solely on delivering high-quality primary and chronic care to an adult population.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to adult patients
  • Manage acute, chronic, and preventive care visits
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation
  • Participate in team-based care where appropriate

Requirements:

  • Active Texas medical license
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Active BLS
  • Eligible for federal background clearance
  • Minimum 1 year post-residency experience

POSITION 2: Part-Time Collaborating Primary Care Physician (20 hrs/week)

Schedule: 20 hours/week (flexible daytime hours)

Responsibilities: Collaboration + limited patient care

Team: Oversight of 5 APPs

Job Description:

Amergis is seeking a part-time Primary Care Physician to act as a collaborating physician for a team of five Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The role includes chart reviews, clinical guidance, and occasional patient care coverage as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and collaboration for 5 APPs
  • Conduct timely chart reviews
  • Ensure compliance with federal and clinical standards
  • Serve as a clinical resource for the APP team
  • See patients on an as-needed basis

Requirements:

  • Active Texas medical license
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Prior collaboration experience preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to pass federal background clearance
