Location: El Paso, TX
Contract Type: Long-Term Government Locums
Setting: Primary Care – Adult Population
POSITION 1: Full-Time Primary Care Physician (40 hrs/week – Patient Care Only)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Patient Volume: 5–8 patients per day
Start: As soon as credentialed
Job Description:
Amergis is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide full-time, patient-facing care at a federal government facility. This role involves no collaborative duties and focuses solely on delivering high-quality primary and chronic care to an adult population.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care to adult patients
- Manage acute, chronic, and preventive care visits
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Participate in team-based care where appropriate
Requirements:
- Active Texas medical license
- Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active BLS
- Eligible for federal background clearance
- Minimum 1 year post-residency experience
POSITION 2: Part-Time Collaborating Primary Care Physician (20 hrs/week)
Schedule: 20 hours/week (flexible daytime hours)
Responsibilities: Collaboration + limited patient care
Team: Oversight of 5 APPs
Job Description:
Amergis is seeking a part-time Primary Care Physician to act as a collaborating physician for a team of five Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The role includes chart reviews, clinical guidance, and occasional patient care coverage as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and collaboration for 5 APPs
- Conduct timely chart reviews
- Ensure compliance with federal and clinical standards
- Serve as a clinical resource for the APP team
- See patients on an as-needed basis
Requirements:
- Active Texas medical license
- Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Prior collaboration experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to pass federal background clearance
