In this role, you will perform comprehensive Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, primarily interview-based with some physical assessments. You will work independently in your own office within Houston, TX, or at our facility, ensuring timely and accurate evaluations that support Veterans' well-being. This position is ideal for healthcare professionals experienced in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedics, or those familiar with veteran assessments.

Compensation for this position is highly competitive, with a flat hourly rate of $624.00, applicable to both half-day and full-day shifts. Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with active license to practice in Texas
- Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to perform medical interviews and basic physical assessments
- Credentialed or able to obtain credentials swiftly
- Detail-oriented with excellent report writing skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience with Compensation & Pension exams
- Familiarity with veteran healthcare assessments
- Knowledge of relevant medical coding and documentation practices
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years post-residency clinical experience
- Prior experience conducting VA or veteran-related assessments is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Own office within 50 miles of Houston, TX
- Willingness to work on a PRN basis, with flexibility for half-day or full-day shifts
- Ability to complete exams and reports promptly
- No travel reimbursement required; local candidates only
