Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in Texas
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related fields
- Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery
- Strong interview and physical assessment capabilities
- Ability to perform compensation and pension exams with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with C&P exams or veterans’ healthcare
- Familiarity with VA or military healthcare systems
- Additional certifications in medical assessments or related areas
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years postgraduate clinical experience
- Prior work in a government or military healthcare setting is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work per diem; flexible with up to 4 days per week
- Ability to conduct exams in provider-owned offices within 50 miles of Houston, TX, or at VES facilities when required
- Willingness to complete administrative follow-up such as reports and addendums
- Must have reliable local transportation; travel expenses are included in rates
