Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active state medical license in Texas
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Proven experience in general medicine practice
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform interviews and physical assessments efficiently
- Strong documentation and report submission skills
- Knowledge of compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience conducting Compensation & Pension exams or military health assessments
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Experience with veteran healthcare systems
- Additional certifications in healthcare fields or advanced procedural skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree with at least 2 years of clinical practice
- Prior locum or temporary employment experience is advantageous
- Experience working with veteran populations is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Must live within 50 miles of Houston, TX, or be able to work remotely if owning an office (if applicable)
- Availability to work approximately 1.5 days per week
- No travel reimbursement required; local candidates preferred
- Commitment to completing required training and exams promptly
