We are seeking experienced General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension examinations and Separation Health Assessments across the country. In this role, you will conduct interview-based evaluations and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing, to support Veterans' benefits determinations. You will operate either at a VES facility within 50 miles of your home or from your own licensed office within the designated radius, depending on the coverage option selected. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely from your own practice or on-site at VES locations, with minimal credentialing time and straightforward onboarding.

Enjoy a competitive pay structure with flat rates: $800 for half-day (4 hours or less) and $1,600 for full-day (5 hours or more) shifts. You will also receive a one-time bonus of $650 upon completing training and your initial exams. Benefits include weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage, paid sick leave, and reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and related expenses where applicable. Travel is included within the rate structure for local providers.

Required Skills:
- Medical license in good standing in Texas or eligible for licensure
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or similar general medicine experience
- Experience with or familiarity in compensation and pension exams preferred
- Excellent communication and assessment skills
- Ability to perform interview-based evaluations and physical assessments
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation promptly
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience conducting Veterans’ assessments
- Knowledge of VA benefits programs and requirements
- Certification in relevant medical specialties
- Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish or other languages
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a medical practice
- Prior experience with military or Veterans health services is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Own a qualified medical practice within 50 miles of the designated city, if you opt for the office-based role
- Willingness to travel locally and adhere to schedule requirements
- Completion of required training and certifications prior to start
- Participate in ongoing administrative tasks, such as report submission and addendums; note these are included in the flat daily/half-day rates
