Key Job Details – Michigan Family Medicine Locum Tenens

• Location: Ironwood, Michigan (49938) – Upper Peninsula healthcare jobs
• Setting: Outpatient clinic
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (No weekends or nights)
• Shift Duration: 9 hours per day
• Assignment Duration: Minimum 3–6 months preferred; ongoing locum tenens opportunities available
• Patient Encounters: 12–25 per shift
• Nearest Airports: Duluth, Iron Mountain, Wausau, Rhinelander
• Lodging: AmericInn for short-term stays; BRB's for longer-term assignments

Family Medicine Physician Qualifications

• Active MD or DO license (Michigan physician jobs)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience in Family Medicine
• Experience with adult patients; pediatric experience preferred
• Ability to provide comprehensive outpatient care
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days

Healthcare Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient care to diverse patient populations
• Manage 12–25 patient encounters per shift
• Provide well woman care, including gynecological exams
• Care for pediatric patients (newborn through adolescent) preferred
• Collaborate with clinic staff for high-quality patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
