The Senior Medical Director will be responsible for partnering with both local and enterprise physician leaders to ensure the clinical model consistently delivers improved patient outcomes and supports an exceptional patient and provider experience. This role will be expected to continually enhance and expand physician leadership capabilities to develop and support an aligned, mission-focused provider base. To deliver on this expectation, the Senior Medical Director will work closely with physicians to ensure training and education, governance, and additional development capabilities are optimized and focused on enabling physicians to deliver the best possible care for patients. Additionally, the Senior Medical Director will be responsible for external communication and support of the model, including educating prospective partners on the overall clinical value of the model.
How you can make a difference
- Serve as a Senior Medical Director for Revere Medical in the Phoenix market, including the following responsibilities:
- Provide clinical oversight for Revere Medical clinics and affiliates (clinics aligned with Director of Practice Operations), with accountability for clinical performance
- Supervise other Medical Directors in their oversight of clinical performance for assigned clinics
- Partner with Revere Medical and risk-based operators in the market to lead providers in the implementation and execution of clinical programs
- In partnership with operators, identify clinical variation and help providers reduce unnecessary variation
- Participate in provider performance improvement and disciplinary actions
- Continue to promote and build a physician-led culture that enhances provider, care team, and patient satisfaction
- Provide support to our business development teams in Phoenix and other markets, including the following activities:
- Oversee the clinical onboarding of new providers in the Phoenix market
- Participate in the evaluation of prospective providers and groups in Phoenix and other markets as needed
- Partner with the business development team to support the recruitment of individual providers and groups across markets (a combination of virtual recruitment and occasional travel is anticipated)
- Host prospective groups from other markets as they conduct Revere Medical site visits

- Comfortable being a hands-on leader with a track record of “rolling up your sleeves” to drive desired outcomes
- Willingness to dive into data despite experience level
Experience to drive change
- Strong track record of fostering physician and operational stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated ability driving clinical initiatives via a structured physician governance framework
- Ability to lead across a matrixed structure with both market and enterprise clinical leaders
- Experience building strong teams across multiple geographies and leading through influence
- A metric-driven leader with a history of consistently delivering on- or above-plan performance
- A hands-on leader with a player-coach mentality that is willing and able to provide “in the weeds” assistance to local teams
- Ability to quickly gain credibility and establish the required relationships to influence and generate results; can quickly influence market partners to take action
- MD/DO required with 10+ years of clinical practice experience (preferred)
This role will be 50% practicing physician and 50% administrative (SMD). The time allocation can be adjusted by Regional Chief Medical Officer to fit market needs.
