Physician – Veterans Disability Evaluations (Per Diem)

Location: Spooner, WI
Schedule: Per diem | 2 days per week needed (ongoing)
Coverage Area: Providers must be located within a 25-mile radius
Practice Setting: Clinic-based evaluation site (no personal office required)
Malpractice Insurance: Included in compensation

Compensation

• $1000 per day for 5+ hour shifts

• $500 per day for 0–4 hour shifts

• Flat daily rates include exam time, documentation, and required follow-up addendums

About the Role

This per diem opportunity allows Physicians to support U.S. Veterans by performing one-time disability evaluations and separation health assessments. The role is strictly non-treatment and non-prescribing, focused on clinical interviews, medical record review, and limited physical assessments to support benefits determinations.

This position offers flexible scheduling, predictable workloads, and a structured clinical environment with no ongoing patient care responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-time disability evaluations and separation health assessments

• Perform interview-based exams with limited physical components (e.g., range of motion and muscle strength testing)

• Review medical records and diagnostic documentation

• Complete evaluation reports, medical opinions, and occasional addendums

• Ensure documentation is accurate and completed within required timelines

Accepted Specialties- MUST BE BOARD-CERTIFIED

Licensure & Certification

• Board-certified Physician required

• Active, unrestricted Wisconsin medical license required
