Physician – Veterans Disability Evaluations (Per Diem)
Location: Spooner, WI
Schedule: Per diem | 2 days per week needed (ongoing)
Coverage Area: Providers must be located within a 25-mile radius
Practice Setting: Clinic-based evaluation site (no personal office required)
Malpractice Insurance: Included in compensation
Compensation

$1000 per day for 5+ hour shifts

$500 per day for 0–4 hour shifts

Flat daily rates include exam time, documentation, and required follow-up addendums
About the Role
This per diem opportunity allows Physicians to support U.S. Veterans by performing one-time disability evaluations and separation health assessments. The role is strictly non-treatment and non-prescribing, focused on clinical interviews, medical record review, and limited physical assessments to support benefits determinations.
This position offers flexible scheduling, predictable workloads, and a structured clinical environment with no ongoing patient care responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct one-time disability evaluations and separation health assessments

Perform interview-based exams with limited physical components (e.g., range of motion and muscle strength testing)

Review medical records and diagnostic documentation

Complete evaluation reports, medical opinions, and occasional addendums

Ensure documentation is accurate and completed within required timelines
