Sound Medical Family Practice in Morehead City, NC is an established five provider (3 physicians/2 APPs) practice focused on comprehensive adult primary care. One of our physicians is retiring, so we are seeking a dynamic, productive, team-oriented physician to step into their place. Our ideal candidate will love living in coastal NC and want to make Carteret County their long-term home, with the opportunity for practice partnership/ownership in the future. The Crystal Coast offers beaches, boating, fishing, surfing, sailing, golf, and other recreational opportunities just minutes from the office. Job Responsibilities

Provision of outpatient office-based primary care medical services to our patient population including acute care, wellness evaluations, chronic care management, and minor procedures commensurate with training and experience. Taking telephone-only call approximately every 4th week. Accurate and timely completion of medical records. Participation in practice management and support as may arise from time to time.

Qualifications

Residency trained BC/BE MD/DO with a valid and unrestricted North Carolina medical license, valid and unrestricted DEA license, and eligibility to be employed without restriction in the United States and the State of North Carolina.

Working Hours

Office hours are 0800 - 1700 Monday through Friday, with clinicians expected to work 4 days a week in direct patient care.

Skills

Evaluation, diagnosis, and management of medical conditions in male and female patients, including ordering appropriate tests, prescribing appropriate medications, and facilitating appropriate referrals for specialty or ancillary care as indicated by patients' presentation and evident healthcare needs.
