Job description
Position Summary
The Family Practice Physician provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to individuals and families across the lifespan in an outpatient clinic setting. This role focuses on prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions, with no obstetrical responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality primary care services to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
• Manage chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD)
• Perform routine physical exams, health screenings, and preventive care
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide patient education on wellness, disease prevention, and lifestyle management
• Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the EHR
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic protocols
• Adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines and regulatory standards
Qualifications
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• Active, unrestricted state medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA registration (or eligibility)
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
