Position Summary
The Primary Care Physician provides comprehensive outpatient primary care services to patients within the Sanitas Medical Center. This role reports directly to the Medical Director and works collaboratively within an integrated, multidisciplinary care team.
This position offers outstanding work-life balance, with a Monday through Friday schedule (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM) and no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call responsibilities. Physicians practice within the scope of their training while complying with all Sanitas policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Sanitas welcomes Board-Certified, Board-Eligible, ACN-licensed physicians, and General Practitioners, provided they meet state licensure and credentialing requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations
Diagnose acute and chronic conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education
Prescribe medications in accordance with state law and professional guidelines
Maintain accurate, problem-oriented electronic medical records
Ensure continuity of care through follow-ups, referrals, and care coordination
Review and act on lab results, imaging, and diagnostic studies promptly
Perform minor in-office procedures within scope of practice
Coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services
Deliver exceptional patient care via in-person, telephone, or virtual visits
Adhere to quality improvement, safety, and infection-control standards
Participate in population health initiatives and community outreach programs
Attend required medical staff and departmental meetings
Assist with clinical protocol development and updates
Mentor and support clinical staff and learners as appropriate
Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Director
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervisory responsibilities unless assigned oversight of Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs)
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Active, unrestricted state medical license
ACN license accepted
General Practitioners accepted, subject to state and credentialing guidelines
Current DEA registration
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine OR qualified General Practice/ACN pathway
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Compliance with annual CME requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred but not required
Minimum 2 years of outpatient primary care experience
Experience working with diverse and multicultural patient populations
Geriatric care experience is a plus
Working Hours
No weekend, no oncall and no rounding
