Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) – Locum to Perm | Outpatient Clinic | California
A well-supported outpatient clinic in California is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time locum-to-permanent opportunity. This position offers a stable weekday schedule, no call, and the ability to transition into a long-term role.
This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates or experienced physicians looking for work-life balance in a clinic-only setting.
Position Highlights
- Assignment Type: Locum to Perm (3–12 months)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Unpaid 1-hour lunch
- No call, no weekends
- Holidays unpaid
- Setting: Outpatient clinic only
- Patient Volume: 20–22 patients per day
- Patient Population: All ages
- Visit Type: Scheduled appointments only
Scope of Practice
- Full-scope Family Medicine
- Preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits
- No procedures required
Technology & Training
- Current EMR: Amazing Charts
- Upcoming EMR Transition: NextGen (planned for May)
- Training: Provided as needed during onboarding
Provider Requirements
- Specialty: Family Medicine (MD/DO)
- Board Certification: ABFM required
- Board Eligible accepted if currently in residency
- Licensure: Active California medical license (required)
- Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- California DEA
- New Graduates: Welcome to apply
- Preferred (not required):
- Enrolled with Medicare and Medi-Cal (to expedite credentialing)

- Credentialing required prior to start
- Typical credentialing timeframe applies if not already enrolled with Medicare/Medi-Cal
