Step into a well-supported long-term care practice with a predictable weekday schedule, no call, and a manageable patient load. The University of Vermont’s Helen Porter Rehab & Nursing is actively seeking a Locum Tenens Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to provide high-quality primary care in a 98-bed facility.
What You’ll Do

Provide daily primary care to long-term care residents

Manage 8–12 patients per day

Collaborate closely with an experienced APP and nursing staff
-
Be available for APP consultation as needed (no leadership duties)

Document care efficiently using Epic EMR
Schedule That Works

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

8-hour shifts
-
No nights. No weekends. No call.
Support You Can Rely On

1 full-time, highly experienced APP on site
-
Additional APP support (.5 FTE) in progress
-
Rotating physician coverage already built into the model
-
Strong interdisciplinary team and leadership support
What You Need
-
MD or DO
-
BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
-
DEA required
-
Vermont license or IMLC accepted
-
Comfortable in a long-term care setting
