In this pivotal position, you'll deliver high-quality outpatient care to diverse patient populations, including adults and pediatrics. Working Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotational after-hours call coverage, you'll help fill a critical recruitment gap, ensuring uninterrupted access to compassionate healthcare for the community.
Required Skills:
- Valid Michigan state medical license and Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Proven experience in outpatient family medicine, including adult and pediatric care
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, specifically Heathland or similar platforms
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient-center care skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Point-of-Care testing and in-building diagnostic imaging
- Prior experience in a rural or community-based practice
- Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish-speaking, are advantageous
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years’ outpatient clinical experience
- Previous locum or temporary staffing experience is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to participate in rotation-based after-hours call
- Reliable transportation for travel reimbursements (mileage capped at $150 including taxes)
- Must adhere to all licensing, certification, and immunization requirements
- No lodging arrangements through third-party travel sites; McLaren does not reimburse taxes on lodging
