This community is growing and we are expanding to meet patient needs. Located just 50 minutes from St. Louis, this community continues to grow and patients represent both rural and young adult professionals who have relocated to the area to be close to the city, but away from the downsides of large city living. This position has already established patients in our dental and behavioral health clinics at the same site and will continue to grow – its location near St. Louis, as well as its ability to draw from the more rural counties surrounding it translates into steady patient growth.
Physician has a private office. There are 6 exam rooms in that clinic, and it is co-located with a dental clinic and behavioral health services. Primary care is a new addition to this clinic. We believe this clinic will grow quickly and will require an additional provider at that time. EMR is NexGen. Each provider is supported by 1.5 nursing staff team members. We also have a referral coordinator who links patients for specialty care and other resources, tracks that, and ensures that the follow up is contained in the medical record.
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 4:30 pm. There may be some flexibility with offering a four day, 10-hour workday schedule.
- Patient Load: Template is set in the EMR and was developed with physician input and guidance. Allows for 12 patients in the morning and 12 in the afternoon – will vary by patient complexity.
- Call Schedule: Call is rotated and is for one week for after hours calls (typically averages four times per year.) All after hours calls are triaged by an on call nursing team, who are typically able to guide the patient without reaching the physician on call. In the rare instances that contact is needed, the on call physician is only returning a phone call or text – they are not required to come in to the office.
- Compensation: $275,000 per year. Supplemented by a full benefit package, 6% match on retirement, malpractice insurance, CME benefit, productivity/quality bonus opportunities, and a 457B program that is 100% employer funded. Loan repayment available through National Health Service Corp.
