Locum Tenens Physician (MD/DO) needed for Medical Director position in beautiful, rural, Southeast Alaska
Location: Southeast Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: ASAP 3-6 months with the possibility of extending or permanent placement
Compensation: Hourly rate starting at $200.
Schedule:
- Clinic Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
- 12 hrs/week administrative time
- 4-5 days/month of scheduled call (nights/weekends)

You'll be working with a dedicated team of professionals at this medical clinic in this rural Alaskan town. You will be putting both your clinical expertise and management skills to work as a Locum Tenens Medical Director. With no hospital on the island, patients must be triaged and stabilized for medevac when necessary.

Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Care
- Medical Staff Leadership & Oversight
- Quality & Clinical Performance Oversight
- Utilization & Care Coordination
- Administrative Duties
Position Requirements:
- Active Alaska State Physician (MD/DO) license
- Completed Accredited Residency (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Med/Peds, or Emergency Medicine)
- Board Certification (ABFP, ABIM, or ABEM)
- Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
- Active DEA registration
- Supervises primary care physicians and APPs
- Minimum 5-years clinical experience, including ED experience for triage and medevac
- 2-years of administrative experience, including supervision and program management
