Outpatient Internal Medicine / Family Medicine Physician – Oroville, CA

This role offers a compassionate, patient-centered Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician the opportunity to join a growing outpatient practice serving patients of all ages. The position emphasizes high-quality care, strong patient relationships, and support for underserved populations. Physicians enjoy a manageable patient load, collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to mentor APPs.

Dates / Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday

  • Outpatient only

  • No weekends required

Job Details / Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients from pediatrics through geriatrics

  • Conduct exams, develop diagnoses, and create evidence-based treatment plans

  • Manage an average daily panel of 10–15 patients with extended appointment times

  • Supervise and mentor physician assistants

  • Deliver compassionate, equitable care including for uninsured and underserved populations

  • Collaborate with nursing staff, case managers, and support staff to provide holistic care

  • Maintain accurate documentation per practice and regulatory standards

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings

  • Support a patient-first model that prioritizes continuity and relationship-based care

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)

  • Active, unrestricted California medical license or ability to obtain

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

  • Minimum 5 years of direct patient care experience across diverse age groups

  • Experience with underserved or uninsured patient populations (highly preferred)

  • Strong leadership and supervisory ability; prior PA oversight preferred

  • Excellent communication skills and cultural competency

  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered, equitable care
