We are seeking a board-certified Family Practice Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity starts on Jan 5, 2026, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8am to 5pm with 20-minute patient slots and a mix of in-person and telehealth visits. The assignment requires a commitment of six months and a current California license.

- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; patients scheduled in 20-minute time slots (including telehealth visits); telehealth visits scheduled before lunch and at 4pm, followed by administrative time
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide outpatient care to a diverse patient panel
- Manage an average patient volume of 3 per hour
- Perform routine exams, pap smears, and manage birth control as needed
- Conduct telehealth visits as part of daily schedule
- Adhere to the established scheduling template and maintain pace with in-person and telehealth appointments
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
- Complete all required documentation and administrative duties
Additional Information
- California medical license required
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
- Must have successfully completed a prior assignment through Barton Associates
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years experience preferred
- Experience with FQHCs preferred
- Must be comfortable with the assigned patient volume and scheduling template
