Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Certified Anesthesia Assistant for full-time locum tenens assignments in Lafayette, Indiana. This role offers consistent weekday coverage in a high-volume surgical setting with diverse case types.
Assignment Details:
Location: Lafayette, IN
Setting: Hospital/OR
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7a – 3p
Coverage Needs: Multiple full-time openings throughout 2026
Patient Volume: Approximately 8 cases per day
Responsibilities Include:
Provide general anesthesia for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
Regional anesthesia procedures
Neurosurgical, head, and spine cases
Thoracic cases (except open heart)
Complex orthopedic cases
Ventilation management and pain management techniques
Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues
Placement of arterial and central lines, catheter management
Administration of blood, blood products, and anesthetic medications
