We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical Provider with Family Medicine or Internal Medicine specialty to join our mission-driven team at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Wailuku on the Island of Maui. This full-time, exempt role focuses on adult medicine in a primary care setting, serving a diverse community with a strong emphasis on prevention, chronic disease management, and whole-person care.

The MD/DO is a vital member of the clinical team and works with the providers and staff to deliver patient care in accordance with nationally accepted guidelines, policies and procedures to achieve the health center’s goals and objectives in delivering exceptional care to our patients. The salary range for MD/DO is $220,000 to $240,000 year, plus a Sign-On Bonus of $15,000 and eligible for a fiscal year incentive bonus up to $25,000.


The ideal candidate will have APRN/FNP/DNP/MD/DO from a recognized program, evidence of continuing education, competencies with providing services to a diverse patient population as a provider for at least one year, and verifiable work background in treating all individuals with respect and aloha.


This position reports to the Department Head for Adult Medicine at our Wailuku clinic. We currently serve adult patients at three locations on Maui.


This is a Full-time, Exempt position, with a rotation of after hour call duty and half-day Saturday shift every 6 to 7 weeks, and one late shift per week on the same day each week (late shift is 10 AM to 7 PM), shifts are 8 hours and seeing at least 16 patients per shift on average.

Job Responsibilities

Clinical Care: Assess and treat patients with acute/chronic diseases, including physical exams and developing treatment/follow-up plans under written protocols.

Preventative Care: Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits.

Diagnostics & Treatment: Perform diagnostic tests, screening evaluations, and order/arrange pharmaceuticals per protocol or physician order.

Referrals: Provide referrals for specialized or chronic medical care.

Patient Advocacy: Investigate and intervene in patient care issues.

Communication & Collaboration: Consult and collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members on patient care.

Documentation: Maintain accurate patient medical records (EMR) and charts according to guidelines.

Administrative & Quality: Participate in Quality Improvement, required meetings, committees, in-service training, and research.

Fiscal/Reporting Duties: Complete administrative duties, including fiscal tasks, grant/funding reports, and procedure revision to support primary care and integrated health services.

Required Credentials: Current CPR, negative TB (within 12 months), and active APRN, NP, MD, or DO licensure/NED registration in the State of Hawaii.
