### Family Medicine opening in Alexandria, LA
Full-time; Permanent
Employed
### Overview:
* Hours: Two weeks in outpatient clinic (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) and One week in hospital ICU (7 day shifts, 13 hours per shift)
* Responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating patients with a wide variety of clinical problems of human disease.
* Use competency of technological procedures and devices used in acute care settings to treat a broad range of conditions common among patients.
* Responsible for managing the physician-patient relationship in complicated ethical and social areas such as end-of-life decisions, advance directives, estimating prognosis, and counseling of patients and their families.
* Lead a team of experienced professionals including resident physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, vascular access specialists, physical and occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and nurses.
* Collaborate with other specialists as needed in continuous care for hospitalized patients.
