### Role Overview
Provide strategic leadership for ambulatory informatics across primary care and multiple specialty practices
Split responsibilities between clinical practice (2–3 days per week) and informatics leadership duties (2 days per week)
Partner with clinical teams, community partners, and IT leadership to optimize outpatient workflows, technology use, and patient care delivery

### Responsibilities
Clinical Informatics Strategy: Define and implement the ambulatory informatics vision in collaboration with clinical and IT leadership
EMR Optimization: Oversee development and enhancement of EHR workflows, clinical decision support, order sets, and outpatient pathways
Workflow Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and standardize processes based on current evidence and best practices
Project Leadership: Serve as the lead clinical advisor for technology initiatives, ensuring regulatory alignment and strategic consistency
Training & Education: Develop and deliver training programs for new providers and ongoing education for clinicians and staff
Team Leadership: Mentor analysts, informaticists, and trainers while promoting collaboration across departments
Vendor Engagement: Advocate for ambulatory needs with EHR vendors and guide prioritization of system enhancements

### Qualifications
MD or DO with active board certification
Current ambulatory clinical practice experience and ability to maintain clinical sessions 2–3 days per week
Background in medical informatics, healthcare technology, or EHR optimization
Experience with workflow standardization and evidence-based order set development
Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
Commitment to improving patient care and enhancing clinician workflows
