Job description We are seeking a board-certified Family Practice Physician for a 49-day locum tenens assignment in Montana starting Apr 2, 2026. This opportunity involves 24-hour call coverage, one week every 4-5 weeks, with morning inpatient rounds and light call duties at a rural health facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitalist or family practice call, be comfortable with newborn care upon delivery, and hold current ACLS and PALS certifications.

  • Schedule: One week every 4-5 weeks; Thursday 5pm to Thursday 5pm; 24-hour call

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform morning inpatient rounds and order necessary medications
  • Provide on-call coverage with light call volume; may not need to return after rounds
  • Attend to newborns upon delivery as needed
  • Complete rounds on the final day of assignment for patient handoff
  • Deliver high-quality care in a rural health facility setting

Additional Information
  • Board certification in Family Practice required
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required; NRP is a plus
  • Must have or be eligible for a Montana license or IMLC
  • Experience in rural hospitalist or family practice call is essential
  • Commitment through 2026 preferred, with flexible scheduling
