Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide direct and indirect medical care to meet the healthcare needs of patients within the facility
- Formulate working diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate or modify therapeutic regimens
- Evaluate patients who have returned from off-site treatment
- Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility
- Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational and training activities related to patient medical care
Additional Information
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is required (per state agreement)
- Must hold a valid Arizona medical license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications required
- Correctional facility background is preferred, but not required
- Experience in urgent care settings is acceptable
- EMR system: TechCare
