HHSC Kaua'i Region consists of Kaua'i Veterans Memorial Hospital (KVMH) and Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital (SMMH), both critical access hospitals; The Kaua'i Region Clinics; and its affiliates. HHSC Kaua'i Region is a high-performance organization, which is on a fast-paced Journey to Excellence.
The Regional CMO will devote about 10-25 % time as needed to treating patients in a clinical setting with the majority of time to administrative responsibilities. In the latter role, the RCMO, as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and providers to ensure that the highest quality and service are maintained. The RCMO oversees the implementation of quality improvement efforts designed to improve clinical outcomes and maintain compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, and other accreditation standards. The RCMO advises the RCEO, ELT, Providers, and medical teams on matters impacting patient care. Including the implementation of cost effective and efficient medical interventions.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited school
- 10 years of clinical experience, minimum of 3 in a hospital setting
- Have or able to obtain a medical license in HI
