Post-Acute Care Medical Director | Knoxville, Tennessee
Position Type: Full-Time | Flexible Schedule | 4 Days per Week
Compensation: $297,809 – $337,091 annually (no cap on productivity income potential)
About the Opportunity:
Join post-acute care team in the Knoxville, Tennessee area as a Medical Director, overseeing the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care at skilled nursing facilities. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position offering outstanding flexibility, strong administrative support, and opportunities for leadership growth.
Responsibilities:
Round on adult patients in skilled nursing and post-acute care facilities
Oversee and ensure the delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered care
Collaborate with facility staff, advanced practice clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams
Lead quality initiatives, care coordination, and regulatory compliance efforts
Mentor and support clinicians to improve outcomes and efficiency
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Active Tennessee medical license and DEA (or eligibility to obtain)
Previous post-acute or long-term care experience preferred, but not required
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
