Position: Family Medicine Physician
- Location: Split between two locations: Fairfax, VA & Falls Church, VA
- Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours total)
- 36 hours of dedicated patient-facing time
- 4 hours of administrative time
- Work split: 2 days at one location and 3 days at the second location
- Start Date: Summer 2026
Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Family Medicine or Board Eligible if within two years of completing residency.
- Experience: Preferably at least one (1) year of experience in a Family Medicine, outpatient Primary Care setting, but stellar new graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Virginia (VA) Medical License or willingness to promptly obtain one.
- Personal Attributes: Demonstrated positive attitude, friendly personality, and commitment to high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
The Family Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive, longitudinal primary care services to patients of all ages, fostering strong patient-physician relationships and promoting overall health and wellness.
- Traditional Family Medicine: Provide full-scope primary care to patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics (0 years) to geriatrics (100+ years).
- Comprehensive Primary Care: Conduct routine physicals, preventative care, and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
- Women's Health: Perform well-woman exams, including annual physicals and screenings.
- Diagnostics and Management: Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging) and develop effective treatment plans.
- Health Promotion: Provide patient education and counseling on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and chronic disease management.
- Referral Management: Appropriately refer patients to specialists and coordinate care across the healthcare continuum.
