Location: Rochester VA Outpatient Clinic – Rochester, NY
Contract Length: ASAP start through April 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | No nights, no weekends, no call
Travel, lodging, and malpractice fully covered

Opportunity Overview

Join the Canandaigua VA Outpatient Clinic as a Primary Care Physician (Locums) and make a lasting impact caring for our nation’s Veterans. This outpatient role focuses on continuity, prevention, and management of chronic conditions in a mission-driven environment that values teamwork and balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive adult outpatient primary care to Veterans

  • Perform routine exams, preventive screenings, and chronic disease management

  • Participate in interdisciplinary care teams using the VA’s PACT model

  • Document all encounters in the VA’s Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS)

  • Uphold VA clinical standards and infection-control policies

Qualifications

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice

  • Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory

  • DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification

  • Must complete VA credentialing and background clearance
