Position Overview

A progressive and inclusive healthcare organization in Los Angeles is seeking a Medical Physician (MD or DO) with experience and passion for serving the LGBTQ+ community. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, compassionate care in a supportive, affirming environment where every patient is respected and valued.

This position is ideal for a provider dedicated to health equity, preventive medicine, and personalized care, with a strong understanding of the medical and psychosocial needs of LGBTQ+ patients.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans.
Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for chronic and acute conditions.
Counsel patients on preventive health measures, wellness, and disease management.
Prescribe and manage medications safely and effectively.
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physician assistants, and behavioral health professionals.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.
Provide education, guidance, and advocacy to ensure equitable access to care.
Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and stay current with best practices in LGBTQ+ healthcare.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
Active California medical license and board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient or private practice setting.
Strong communication skills and sensitivity when working with diverse populations.
Current BLS certification.
Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and chronic disease management preferred.
Understanding of psychosocial and behavioral health factors that influence patient outcomes.
Experience working with LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse patients strongly preferred.

Salary: $245,000 – $290,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
