Physician Opportunity – Primary Care Setting
*Location: Commerce, GA - Athens 20m, Atlanta 70m | Full-Time, permanent position*

Position Overview
Seeking a dedicated Physician to join a collaborative, patient-centered primary care team providing comprehensive medical services to the local community. The Physician will deliver high-quality care through diagnosis, treatment, and preventive medicine within an established care model that emphasizes coordinated, team-based healthcare.
Starting salary $285-300K depending on experience
Stipend for supervising PA-C/NP-C: $15K per Midlevel, per annum paid out with biweekly
payroll
No weekends, outpatient only
Flexibility for 4, 4 1/2, 5day week totaling 36 direct patient care hours, 4 hour protected admin time
Rotating telephone call only, supplemented by Triage Service
Average 21 patients per week contract expectation
Both sites are easily commutable from Gainesville (GA), the closest metropolitan area, plus numerous smaller rural communities

Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct patient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses
* Order, interpret, and oversee laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures
* Prescribe and manage medications and therapeutic plans
* Perform minor outpatient procedures and surgeries as appropriate
* Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
* Adhere to established clinical quality and safety protocols
* Collaborate with care team members to ensure comprehensive, coordinated patient care
* Provide patient education on lifestyle, diet, and preventive health practices
* Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed
* Participate in quality assurance, community health promotion, and organizational initiatives
* Supervise and provide clinical guidance to support staff and advanced practice clinicians
Qualifications
* MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
* Completion of an approved internship and residency program
* Board-eligible or board-certified in a primary care specialty
* Comprehensive knowledge of current clinical practices and developments in medicine
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Commitment to preventive medicine and patient education
