The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our expanding team in South Nashville TN. This is an outpatient-only role focused on quality, continuity, and compassion.

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Specialty: Primary Care (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine)

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Current or eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and diagnostic skills.

Primary Care PhysicianRequired Education

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Required Licenses & Certifications

  • Current, unrestricted Florida Medical License (or ability to obtain).
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine (or Board Eligible).
  • Current State DEA Certificate.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous medical education and staying current with advancements in family medicine.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish language proficiency preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in a value-based or managed care setting is a plus.

  • Spanish preferred

Job Responsibilities

Essential Job Function:

Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment.
Prescribe medication in accordance with Florida statute and professional practice guidelines.
Maintains a problem oriented health record for each patient seen in accordance with the Center’s established Health Information Management policies and procedures.
Assures continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services on a timely basis as per Clinic schedule within the Center’s scope of practice and the provider’s training.
Provides excellent internal/external customer service via telephone, fax or face-to-face contact to assist patients with their health care needs.
Perform minor surgical procedures.
Arrange referral for patients requiring services not offered at Medical Center
Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG) sign, date and follow-up in a timely manner.
Follows established departmental and medical center policies, procedures, and objectives; continuous quality improvements objectives and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
Participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs as needed i.e. diabetes collaborative/health fairs etc.; attends and participates in medical center meetings / departmental meetings and other medical center functions as required by the Center.
Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.
Assist in outside medical public relations functions.
Trains, mentors and supervises students and clinical support staff, as appropriate Supervises mid-level practitioners

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Current unrestricted State Medical License
Current D.E.A. Certificate
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine/Family Practice. If Board Eligible at the time of hire, must be Board Certified within 3 years of hire date.
Annual continuing medical education as required by Board specialty
BLS valid certificate
