Locum Tenens – Family Medicine Physician
Location: Fountain Valley, California
Facility: Outpatient Primary Care Clinic
Start Date: December 1, 2025
Contract Length: 13+ weeks (possible extension to 3–6 months or locums-to-perm)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Patients seen 8:00–4:30, 8-hour workday with lunch break)
Clinical Details
- Setting: Outpatient only – no call
- Average Patients/Day: 18–20
- Patient Population: All ages (must be comfortable seeing all age groups)
- Procedures (Preferred, not required): Common outpatient IM procedures – biopsies, sutures, etc.
- Support Staff: Yes – MAs, practice manager, front office, etc. (No supervision required)
- EMR: Epic (must be experienced)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of outpatient primary care
- Epic EMR experience required
- Licensure & Certifications:
- Active CA medical license – Required
- DEA certificate – Required
- BLS or ACLS – Required
- Board Certification: Preferred, but not required
- Local Candidates Only
