Primary Care Physician – VA Outpatient Clinic | Canandaigua, NY | $130/hr + Travel & Lodging
The Canandaigua VA Medical Clinic is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide outpatient services for our Veteran population. This locum opportunity begins ASAP and runs through at least April 2026, offering $130/hour plus travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage.
Position Highlights:

Outpatient-only schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (no weekends or federal holidays)

Manage a diverse caseload of chronic and acute conditions (hypertension, diabetes, COPD, heart disease, arthritis, and more)

Average 12–15 patients per day

Provide comprehensive care using the PACT model, including preventive screenings, chronic condition management, follow-ups, and care coordination with interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications:

Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice

Active medical license in any U.S. state or territory

DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification required

Must complete VA credentialing and pass background/security clearance
