Annual Salary: $100k-$140k (varies depending on years of experience)

A well-established healthcare organization serving diverse communities across New York City is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Faculty Physician to join its team on a part-time basis. This role blends clinical care with academic responsibilities, supporting the development of future physicians while delivering high-quality care to underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient care in a community-based clinical setting.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to residents, including quarterly advising sessions and individualized learning plans.
  • Participate in the recruitment and evaluation of residency applicants.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using an electronic health record system.
  • Lead and contribute to continuing medical education sessions, including lectures and group discussions.
  • Support residents in scholarly activities such as research, quality improvement initiatives, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to review and update curriculum annually.
  • Attend departmental meetings and serve on relevant committees as needed.
  • Apply knowledge of medical coding to ensure efficient and compliant care delivery.
  • Fulfill core faculty responsibilities.
  • Engage in ongoing faculty development and training.
  • Supervise and precept residents in accordance with program requirements.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine.
  • Active medical license and DEA registration.
  • Prior experience in teaching or mentoring medical trainees is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) or with underserved populations is a plus.
