Locums | NP/PA – Urgent Care | No Call | Roanoke Rapids, NC Why This Role

  • Urgent care coverage in a well-supported outpatient center
  • Consistent patient flow with average daily census of 20 (up to 40 at peak)
  • Opportunity to manage both adult and pediatric patients
  • Lives within 65-mile radius of sites
Assignment Details Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Coverage Type: No Call Schedule: Outpatient urgent care shifts, Monday–Sunday coverage as scheduled Setting: Outpatient Urgent Care Center EMR: Epic Privileges: Not required Estimated Credentialing: ~20 days Patient Volumes: ~20/day average, up to 40 at peak Support Staff: Center manager, MA, PSA, offsite supervising physician (for APPs) Multiple urgent care sites within 65-mile radius—providers may rotate Requirements Board Certified (NCCPA for PA / NP Boards for NP) Active North Carolina license BLS 12+ months urgent care or acute care APP experience Must be able to function as sole provider in the center Proficiency with Epic (must disclose years of experience and most recent use) COVID vaccination Local candidates Clinical Details Patient Demographic: All ages (6 months and up) Procedures: - Incision & drainage - Laceration repair - Ear irrigation - Other minor urgent care procedures Scope includes family practice, acute care, urgent care, and emergency medicine presentations Compensation Rate: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Mileage reimbursed
