Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join a strong healthcare team serving all ages in a full-scope primary care setting. This opportunity offers an excellent work-life balance with a 4x10 schedule and coverage across two clinics, supported by nurses, techs, and fellow physicians.
Highlights
- Start Date: ASAP (upon credentialing)
- Schedule: 4x10s (10-hour shifts)
- Team: 8 total physicians, RNs, and techs for support
- Patient Demographics: All ages
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Salary: $240,000 – $270,000
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000
- Retention Bonus: after 3-year contract completion
- Relocation Assistance: Fully covered (up to 18,000 lbs + 1 vehicle, no price limit)
- Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision (Federal Employee Health Benefit Program or FSA or Cash-in-lieu)
- Retirement: 401k with 100% match up to 7%
- Life Insurance: Tribe-paid (1.5x annual salary)
- PTO: 21.13 days accrued annually, increases at 2 & 5 years

- Life insurance – Paid by Tribe (amount equal to 1.5x their annual salary)

Hiring Process

Job Responsibilities
Full scope primary care including:
Chronic disease management (diabetes, depression, anxiety, pain management – including suboxone)
Minor procedures (mole excisions, joint injections, suturing, IUD/Nexplanon insertion & removal, toenail removal)
Minor fracture management, casting, urgent care needs
DEA required (CSR for suboxone prescribing TBD)
Ability to refer out as needed
Ability to treat all ages
Qualifications
MD/DO, Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (Board Eligible not accepted)
Alaska medical license (or ability to obtain; assistance provided)
Required Certifications: BLS, DEA, valid driver’s license (AK DL within 90 days of hire)
Strong clinical background in full-scope family medicine/primary care
Must pass comprehensive background checks and credentialing requirements
