This outpatient-focused role allows you to serve as a cornerstone provider in a close-knit rural community supported by a financially stable, nonprofit health district anchored by a Critical Access Hospital. Physicians enjoy manageable patient volumes, extended visit times, and the flexibility to shape their scope of practice based on interests and comfort level. With no mandatory call, a four-day workweek, and generous paid time off available from day one, this position prioritizes sustainability and work-life balance. Optional procedures, inpatient rounding, and ED shifts provide additional variety and income potential without pressure or burnout.
Position, Compensation & Organization
- Outpatient Family Medicine with no mandatory call
- $300,000–$450,000 annual income based on experience and scope
- Critical Access Hospital with strong financial stability
- Full-scope Family Medicine caring for patients across the lifespan
- Average 15–20 patients per day with longer visit times
- 40-minute new patient visits / 20-minute follow-ups
- Four-day workweek (four 10-hour days) with collaborative scheduling
- Optional inpatient rounding on your own patients
- Optional ED shifts available for additional compensation
- Procedures encouraged: injections, biopsies, suturing, IUDs, Nexplanon, and more
- Oracle Cerner EMR with optional virtual scribe support
- Strong support from experienced APPs, MAs, nurses, and admin staff
- Direct access to regional specialists and academic consult lines
- 270 hours of PTO (~6.75 weeks) available on day one
- $2,000 annual CME allowance plus paid CME time
