Founding Program Director - Family Medicine Residency
Location: Norwich, NY - Syracuse 55m
Setting: Rural Academic Family Medicine Residency
Employment Type: Full-Time, permanent position
Position Highlights
* Lead the launch of the new Rural Family Medicine Residency Program
* Collaborate with urban site residency program and SUNY
* Program anticipated ACGME accreditation in early 2025; first resident class begins July 2026
* Oversee curriculum development, faculty supervision, and resident evaluation
* Participate in resident recruitment, selection, and GME Committee activities
* Provide clinical care in Family Medicine alongside residency duties
* 50% FTE devoted to residency administration, teaching, and supervision
Requirements
* MD or DO degree
* Board certified in Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFP)
* Current or eligible New York medical license and DEA
* Minimum 3 years of faculty experience in a Family Medicine residency, including administrative responsibilities
* Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, teaching, mentoring, and evaluation
* Passion for graduate medical education and program development
Compensation & Benefits
* Salary range: $270,000 – $350,400 annually
