Medical Director Opportunity in Albany, NY
Location: Albany, NY
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities - Post-Acute Care
Schedule: Full-time with flexible weekday rounding
Compensation: $310,000-$345,000 estimated annual income (Fee-for-service model)
Sign-on Bonus: $25,000
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced and board-certified physician to lead its post-acute care team in Albany, NY. This medical director role offers a rewarding opportunity to improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions, all while enjoying work-life balance without shift or weekend work.
Responsibilities:
Conduct clinical case reviews and guide quality of care initiatives
Collaborate with leadership on care coordination and intervention planning
Mentor and oversee clinicians across the Albany region
Work closely with pharmacists on medication management
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Build relationships with patients, families, and facility staff
Complete charting and respond to pharmacy recommendations in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Board certification required (IM, FM, EM, Geriatrics, or related)
NY medical license and DEA - required
Experience in SNF or post-acute care preferred
Previous medical director experience a plus
