Job description
Join a supportive rural healthcare team as a Locum Family Medicine Physician providing full-spectrum primary care for patients of all ages. Work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, perform minor procedures, and serve as ER backup while enjoying a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan
• Perform minor procedures (colonoscopies, EGDs, lesion excisions, laceration repair, I&Ds)
• Prescribe medications, order tests, and provide preventive care
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
• Participate in safety, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Optional: Provide obstetric care
Qualifications
• Completion of accredited Family Medicine Residency
• Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine (ABFM)
• Active or eligible NE medical license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
• Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred
Working Hours
• ER backup call 1:4 (PA is primary call)
• 40 hours/week guaranteed
