This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new hospital-based FQHC clinic, providing essential services to the community with a focus on comprehensive eye care. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality optometric evaluations and treatments
  • Manage general ocular health cases
  • Collaborate with team members, including participating in EMR training and shadowing
  • Serve a diverse patient population, ideally speaking Spanish
  • Drive to clinic locations as needed

Required Skills:
  • Valid optometry license and board certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Bilingual (Spanish fluency)
  • Experience in hospital or FQHC settings
  • Ability to drive to multiple clinic locations

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution
  • At least 2 years of clinical practice experience

Other Requirements:
  • Candidates must be local or able to self-fund travel; client does not cover travel expenses
  • Availability to work at least on Wednesdays and Fridays, with potential for additional hours at other locations
  • Credentialing process may take 60-90 days
  • Preference for candidates comfortable with day shift (09:00 - 17:00)
