Job description
This health system transitioned over to Epic a couple months ago. They are needing a physician to assist with technical support for providers. The locum will need to have Epic expertise in provider orders and work flows and a willingness to help struggling colleagues with provider-specific EMR issues. This position would require the physician to be knowledgeable in building & developing Epic templates and shortcuts that benefit the overall medical group providers.
THEY NEED A LOCUM WHO IS NOT JUST COMFORTABLE WITH EPIC BUT WOULD CONSIDER THEMSELVES A "SUPERUSER"
The locum will report to the CMO.
The hospital system has 300-350 outpatient providers and about 300 inpatient. Working with about 600 physicians total that will be using Epic. There are about 70 clinic locations and 4 main hospitals. These hospitals total about 1,000 beds The client is willing to invest in EPIC certifications if needed.
These would involve trips to Epic headquarters and other classes for Physician Builder certification (based in Wisconsin, if needed) Client will pay for travel.
This could be a locum to perm opportunity.
If the provider would like to keep up their clinic skills, the client is willing to consider someone that wants to work/seeing patients as well.
