Optometrist Opportunity in Kansas City, MO
Employed/Permanent
Full-time, on-site position with a mission-driven healthcare organization
Serve a diverse patient population and provide comprehensive eye care services
Collaborative, team-based environment focused on whole-person care
Responsibilities:
Conduct eye exams to assess visual acuity, depth perception, coordination, and diagnose abnormalities
Analyze diagnostic test results and develop individualized treatment plans
Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and vision aids
Treat common eye diseases and provide therapeutic procedures to preserve vision
Provide pre- and post-operative care for eye surgeries such as cataracts or LASIK
Educate patients on eye health, visual hygiene, and contact lens care
Refer to ophthalmology or other specialists when additional treatment is needed
Requirements:
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
Active Missouri optometry license
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ethical and professional clinical practice
Knowledge of eye disorders including glaucoma, color blindness, and vision deficiencies
