Family Medicine Opening in Georgia -Located in Valdosta, GA. -Continuity Clinic Preceptor. Graduate Medical Education Teaching Opportunity. The Health System is the most comprehensive health system serving South Georgia and North Florida. The system also operates ambulance services, an extensive medical office network, a cancer center, hospice facility, retirement center, skilled nursing facility, imaging centers and urgent cares. We are pleased to offer a unique faculty opportunity for a board-certified Family Medicine physician to serve as a teaching preceptor for our Family Medicine Residency Program s continuity clinic. This position is ideal for a physician passionate about medical education, mentorship, and outpatient primary care. Position Overview -Full-time, Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. -Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. -No call responsibilities. -Hospital-employed faculty role within SGMC Health's Graduate Medical Education (GME) clinic. -Serve as a clinical preceptor, supervising and mentoring Family Medicine residents in their continuity clinic. -Guide residents in evidence-based patient care, professional development, and practice management. -Work in a collaborative, team-based academic environment with opportunities for scholarly activities. Qualifications -Board-certified in Internal Medicine. -Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Georgia. -A strong interest in teaching and mentoring residents in an academic clinical setting. -Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and referring physicians. -Passionate about quality improvement, evidence-based medicine, and resident education. -EPIC electronic medical record experience is a plus. -Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to fostering a positive and innovative learning environment.
