Family Medicine Residency Faculty Physician opening - Waterloo/Cedar Falls, IA - J1/H1b Eligible Position Details

  • Seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join the Prairie Parkway Residency Program Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Iowa
  • Join three current faculty members with 23 years combined experience
  • 3-3-3 track in Waterloo/Cedar Falls, IA
  • Full scope primary care
  • Full-time opportunity with 60% residency and 40% clinical
  • Focus on the development and retention of physicians in the Cedar Valley
  • Practice outpatient, hospital, newborn, and nursing home medicine (obstetrics preferred but not required)
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities Provide direct patient care for patients in the family medicine center Clinic hours 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM General family medicine procedures in the clinic Average 18-20 patients per full day in the clinic Supervise 1-4 residents in clinic and oversee plan of care IP supervision 6 weeks per year at the Hospital, Waterloo IA IP Average 12 patients per day with supervision of 2 residents Shared 1:4 call offsite between faculty for 24 of the 52 weeks a year. Share other duties as assigned including didactics and curriculum development Participate in faculty development activities Patient-focused, friendly, and willing to collaborate in a team environment. Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills Qualifications: MD or DO Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt) Compensation/Benefits Initial 2-year salary guarantee with ability to exceed on an innovative compensation program Attractive incentive package Comprehensive benefits package; generous time off and CME allowance, malpractice insurance, retirement contributions and more Dedicated provider resources to positively impact providers work-life balance Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness, including a free third-party service for loan restructuring and consolidation.
